Fortin Receives Distinguished Alum Award

The College of Engineering has named Dr. Michael Fortin (MS '87; PhD '91) a 2012 Distinguished Alumni for his contributions to computer science. Dr. Fortin is a distinguished engineer in the Windows Core Operating Systems Division at Microsoft. He began his career at Microsoft in 1997, where he worked on Windows 2000 doing development on tools to aid in improving system and application performance.

At a luncheon ceremony, Dean David Williams told the recipients, "You are engineering the world, and making people's lives better, through your work. I want to thank all of you for helping us as we carry on the traditions and establish The Ohio State University College of Engineering as an eminent research and education institution."
