Hi folks, I am Xinliang (Frederick) Zhang. I am from P.R. China. My official Chinese name is 张心亮 or Xinliang Zhang in Pinyin (pronounced as Shin-LeeAun Zhang). Usually, I go by Frederick.
I am an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University (OSU), pursuing dual degrees in Computer Science & Engineering(CSE) and Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) with Honors Math Minor. Before coming to OSU, I was an undergraduate student at Sichuan University (SCU), majoring in Industrial Engineering (IE).
My research interests lie in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) , Machine Learning (ML), Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). I am fortunate to work with Dr. Huan Sun on NLP tasks and proud of being part of SunLab. I also work closely with Dr. Marie-Catherine de Marneffe. Recently, I have been working on Question Answering & Generation, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Inference and Clinical NLP.
I am also broadly interested in Optimization, Applied Mathematics, Statistics and (Statistical) Linguistics. Explore more interests now!

December in the foreseeable future in December, 2021!
Here is my Calendar. I am almost always available on campus from 9am to 7pm, Mon. through Fri. except for time slots that have been already scheduled. Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, I am not available for in-person meetings for safety considerations but still welcome to virtual meetings.
