Objectives
- Master designing, tuning and implementating relational
databases.
- Master using suitable techniques, algorithms and performance
considerations in the implementation of database management systems.
- Master using suitable principles and techniques for implementing
transaction-oriented computing.
- Be familiar with using techniques for providing concurrent,
recoverable access to data.
- Be familiar with using techniques and algorithms for set-oriented query
processing and optimization.
- Be exposed to the objectives of object-oriented and distributed
database management systems.
