I often receive email from applicants saying that they are interested in working with me on research and seeking support for their admission in various ways. One, I'm not involved in the admission process. Two, as a rule, I do not support students without getting to know them first. The best way to work with me is first, get admitted, second, after arriving, meet with me to explore common interests, and perhaps register for individual studies. Based on this interaction and depending on openings, I might be able to offer research support. Three, as a rule, I only work with Ph. D students.
