This is the list of frequently asked questions for the Resolve/C++ framework, discipline, and language. The truly most frequently asked questions are things like, "Why are we learning Resolve/C++, not just regular C++?", and "Why aren't we learning the same object-oriented programming stuff that is in standard textbooks and that everyone uses in the 'real world'?", and "Why should employers want to hire me if this is what I know rather than regular C++?" On November 18, 2002, the OSU ACM Chapter hosted a discussion of these issues. Some of the possible answers are provided here:
In addition, we are pleased to offer a few unsolicited responses -- not from professors, not from students, but from professional software engineers.
Beyond this, there are three main sections in this document. The first one, called General Concepts, addresses general issues related to Resolve/C++. The last two sections address some of the most frustrating errors encountered at compile-time and run-time, respectively.
